Materialise NV (MTLS) engages in additive manufacturing software solutions, medical 3D printing applications, and industrial 3D printing services across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. The company operates through three primary segments: Materialise Software, which provides platforms such as Magics for build preparation, Mimics for medical image processing, and Streamics for workflow management that interface with 3D printers, CAD/CAM software, and scanners to serve machine manufacturers, automotive, aerospace, consumer goods, and hearing aid producers; Materialise Medical, which delivers FDA-cleared software for image-based planning, patient-specific anatomical models, surgical guides, implants, and biomechanical analysis targeting hospitals, surgeons, medical device firms, and research institutions; and Materialise Manufacturing, which offers 3D printing services, rapid prototyping, design engineering, and production parts using diverse materials and technologies for automotive, aerospace, consumer goods, semiconductor, art, architecture, and industrial markets. Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, Materialise maintains collaboration agreements with partners including Zimmer Biomet Holdings, DePuy Synthes, Medtronic, Smith & Nephew, and Abbott Laboratories. Recent developments include the July 2024 acquisition of FEops to integrate AI-driven simulation technology into its Mimics Planner for enhanced cardiovascular procedure planning and mass personalization in structural heart interventions; a strategic partnership with nTop announced in June 2024 to process complex geometries for serial end-use parts production; the Q1 2024 launch of e-Stage for Metal software with initial sales and a new qualified partner collaboration with EOS in Q2 2024; and the October 2025 merger of its i.materialise and Materialise OnSite platforms into a unified 3D printing service offering.
