- Moreld ASA is a Norway-based industrial engineering and services company that provides multidisciplinary engineering, technical consultancy, subsea construction, and asset maintenance solutions for the offshore energy, marine, and renewable industries. Established in 2020 and headquartered in Stavanger, Norway, the company operates across three primary business segments: Moreld Apply, Ocean Installer, and Global Maritime. Through its Moreld Apply subsidiary, the company provides maintenance, modification, and operations (MMO) services for offshore platforms and onshore energy infrastructure; engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) services for topsides and processing systems; front-end engineering design (FEED) and conceptual studies; electrification of offshore facilities; and engineering integration for low-carbon technologies, including offshore wind, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and hydrogen production facilities. Through its Ocean Installer subsidiary, the company delivers subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines (SURF) installation; marine mooring system design, installation, and decommissioning; inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) of subsea infrastructure; heavy lifting and trenching operations; and offshore wind subsea power cable installation, repair, and vessel services. Through its Global Maritime subsidiary, the company offers marine warranty survey (MWS) and marine assurance; naval architecture, structural analysis, and marine engineering; dynamic positioning (DP) and critical systems consultancy; mooring and positioning engineering; meteorological, oceanographic, and geoscience studies; and risk management and operations management software and digital tools. The company serves blue-chip energy operators, national oil companies, offshore wind developers, and marine contractors across the Norwegian Continental Shelf, the United Kingdom, continental Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region.
In recent developments, Moreld ASA was acquired from HitecVision by private equity investment firms McIntyre Partners and Velocity Partners in January 2024. In June 2024, Moreld acquired subsea engineering specialist Ocean Installer from HitecVision to expand its subsea construction, installation, and offshore wind capabilities. In October 2024, the group divested its 67% ownership stake in Apply Capnor AS to Hawk Infinity Software to streamline its core service portfolio. In December 2024, Moreld completed a private placement raising approximately NOK 1 billion and listed its shares on Euronext Growth Oslo, subsequently uplisting its shares to the main board of the Euronext Oslo Børs under the ticker MORLD in June 2025. In commercial and operational developments, Moreld Apply secured major long-term modification framework agreements on the Norwegian Continental Shelf with Equinor and entered into collaboration agreements for green hydrogen project execution with Hydrogen Solutions. Ocean Installer expanded its project backlog through major subsea EPCI contracts with Vår Energi for the Balder Next field development, subsea decommissioning contracts with TotalEnergies across multiple North Sea fields, and subsea tie-back awards with Equinor. In addition, Global Maritime entered into a strategic collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure to support maritime assurance frameworks and digital platform deployment.
