Founded in 1968 and headquartered in London, United Kingdom, Hays plc maintains a workforce of approximately 11,000 employees and focuses on public and private sector clients seeking skilled professionals. In July 2024, Hays formed a strategic global technology partnership with Cognizant to modernise its IT infrastructure, applications, and operations across all regions, enhancing customer experience, agility, and data insights. The company refinanced its revolving credit facility to £240 million in October 2024, extending maturity to October 2029, while achieving £35 million in annual structural cost savings in FY25 ahead of target and targeting a further £45 million by FY29 through finance, technology, and operational transformations. Additional recent initiatives include completing Americas finance and global technology transformations, progressing Germany and EMEA finance programmes, executing a £370 million buy-in for its defined benefit pension scheme in December 2024, and appointing BNP Paribas as joint corporate broker alongside UBS effective July 2025 to strengthen financial operations.
