Energy Fuels Inc. (TSX: EFR) engages in the mining, production, and sale of critical minerals essential for clean energy technologies, including uranium concentrates (U3O8) for nuclear utilities; rare earth oxides such as neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr), dysprosium (Dy), and terbium (Tb) from monazite processing; vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) for steel alloys, chemicals, and batteries; heavy mineral sands products comprising ilmenite, rutile, zircon, and monazite; and medical isotopes like radium-226 and radium-228 under development, all processed primarily at its White Mesa Mill in Utah, the only operating conventional uranium mill in the United States with a licensed capacity of approximately 8 million pounds U3O8 annually. Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado, the company operates key uranium production assets including the Pinyon Plain, La Sal, Pandora, Nichols Ranch ISR, Roca Honda, Bullfrog, and Sheep Mountain projects across the western United States; heavy mineral sands projects such as the Toliara Project in Madagascar (acquired via Base Resources in October 2024), the Donald Project joint venture in Australia (with final regulatory approvals received in 2025 and conditional A$80 million debt support from Export Finance Australia), the Bahia Project in Brazil, and the former Kwale Project in Kenya; and serves target markets including U.S. nuclear utilities, rare earth magnet manufacturers for electric vehicles and defense applications, and industrial users of titanium and zirconium minerals. Recent developments include the October 2025 closing of a $700 million 0.75% convertible senior notes offering due 2031, boosting working capital to nearly $1 billion with an effective conversion price of $30.70 per share; Q3 2025 production of 29 kilograms of 99.9% pure Dy oxide and planned Tb oxide pilot output; an August 2025 MOU with Vulcan Elements for U.S.-sourced NdPr and Dy oxides to advance domestic rare earth magnets; September 2025 qualification of Mill-produced NdPr oxide into commercial EV magnets via POSCO International; historic Navajo Nation agreement for uranium ore transport resuming in February 2026 with mine cleanup support; and ongoing low-cost uranium mining from high-grade Pinyon Plain ore (averaging 1.27% U3O8 in Q3 2025) positioning for up to 1 million pounds finished U3O8 production in 2025 and declining costs of goods sold to $23-$30 per pound in 2026.
