Magni-Tech Industries Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company principally engaged in the manufacturing and sale of garments and packaging materials. The company manufactures and sells a wide range of garments through its subsidiary South Island Garment Sdn Bhd, primarily for apparel brands including Nike; and produces and distributes corrugated cartons and flexible plastic packaging products via subsidiaries Inter-Pacific Packaging Sdn Bhd and South Island Plastics Sdn Bhd, serving the food, beverage, healthcare, rubber-based, consumer household and electronic sub-sectors. It operates garment manufacturing facilities in Malaysia and Vietnam, with packaging production in Prai, Penang and Puchong, Selangor.
Incorporated on 12 March 1997 and headquartered at Level 18, Penas Tower, Jalan Burmah, Penang, Malaysia, Magni-Tech listed on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 18 April 2000 before transferring to the Main Market on 8 April 2003.
The garment segment accounts for approximately 92-95% of revenue, reflecting the 2006 acquisition of South Island Garment Sdn Bhd that diversified the group from its original packaging focus and drove sustained growth.
In recent developments, Magni-Tech reported full-year 2025 revenue of RM1.49 billion, up 11% from prior year with net profit at RM138.8 million; for first-half FY2025, net profit rose 29% to RM70.51 million on 29% higher revenue of RM788.42 million, driven by stronger garment sales despite elevated packaging raw material costs, alongside declaration of a 23 sen dividend including a 20 sen special payout. The company declared a 3.5 sen single-tier interim dividend for FY2026 in September 2025 and expressed cautious optimism for FY2025 amid global economic challenges, supply chain issues and currency fluctuations, while maintaining net cash reserves and low debt. No major acquisitions, partnerships or funding rounds were announced in the last 1-2 years.
