- Uzma Bhd. is an integrated energy and technology solutions provider that delivers engineering, production enhancement, and specialized technical services to the upstream oil and gas, renewable energy, and digital geospatial sectors. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, the company operates across Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, serving national oil companies, international exploration and production operators, and industrial enterprises through key operating entities including Uzma Engineering Sdn. Bhd., Uzma Environergy Sdn. Bhd., and MMSVS Group Holding Co. Ltd.
The company segments its operations into Upstream Oil and Gas Services, Trading and Specialty Chemicals, and New Energy and Digital Technology. Its core portfolio encompasses integrated subsurface evaluation and reservoir characterization; petrophysical and geological laboratory analysis; drilling and well completion services; hydraulic workover units (HWUs); coiled tubing unit (CTU) operations and stimulation pumping; non-rig assisted electric wireline logging; portable water injection modules (PWIM) and waterflood systems; artificial lift and early production facility management; well abandonment and decommissioning; manufacturing and distribution of specialty oilfield chemicals and drilling fluids; solar photovoltaic Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) services; utility-scale solar asset ownership and clean power generation; battery energy storage systems; and artificial intelligence-driven satellite Earth observation and geospatial data analytics.
In recent strategic and operational developments, Uzma has expanded its footprint across both conventional energy services and sustainable infrastructure. The company commercialized its first utility-scale solar asset, a 50MWac Large Scale Solar (LSS4) photovoltaic facility in Kedah, and secured a RM44.15 million sub-contract under the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP) for a 13.42MWac solar installation. In upstream operations, Uzma secured five-year coiled tubing and well completion contracts valued at approximately RM600 million, alongside an eight-year lease and maintenance agreement for portable water injection modules from PETRONAS Carigali. The group also expanded regional offshore campaigns with PTTEP in Malaysia and Thailand for hydraulic workover units, coiled tubing, and infill well preparation, alongside a multi-year electric wireline logging award from ExxonMobil. Furthermore, Uzma strengthened its technology division through the deployment of its dedicated UzmaSAT-1 Earth observation satellite and entered strategic collaborations focused on aerospace technologies, advanced energy storage, and industrial energy efficiency.
