Business
Solaris Energy Infrastructure, Inc. provides mobile and scalable equipment-based solutions for distributed power generation and management of raw materials used in oil and natural gas well completions primarily in the United States. The company operates through Solaris Power Solutions and Solaris Logistics Solutions segments; Solaris Power Solutions offers configurable all-electric natural gas-powered mobile turbines, ancillary equipment including generators, transformers, power distribution systems and load banks, and turnkey power-as-a-service solutions for primary, bridge and backup power needs serving data centers, energy, exploration and production, oilfield services, and commercial and industrial customers; Solaris Logistics Solutions designs and manufactures specialized automated equipment such as fluid management systems, wet sand solutions, and integrated wellsite systems, while providing field technician support, last mile and mobilization logistics services, and software solutions including the Solaris software suite to oil and natural gas operators and suppliers. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, the company targets oil and gas, data centers, utilities, healthcare, hospitality, and other industrial sectors with operations focused in the United States. In recent developments, Solaris changed its name from Solaris Oilfield Infrastructure, Inc. in September 2024 to reflect its expanded energy focus; acquired Mobile Energy Rentals in July 2024 for $200 million to scale its distributed power infrastructure with an initial 153 megawatt fleet growing to 478 megawatts by late 2025 and access new end-markets; announced the acquisition of HVMVLV LLC in August 2025, adding specialty electrical control, distribution, and voltage regulation capabilities to enhance turnkey power solutions for complex loads; secured a long-term contract and joint venture for at least 500 megawatts to power a new data center over six years; and placed orders for additional 16.5-megawatt gas-fired turbines totaling 145 megawatts to expand its pro forma operated power fleet toward 1,400 megawatts by mid-2027.
