CAE Inc. is a leading global provider of simulation technologies, training services, and critical operations support solutions to airlines, aircraft manufacturers, defense forces, and other customers worldwide. The company designs and manufactures full-flight simulators including CAE 3000, CAE 5000, and CAE 7000XR series; flight training devices such as CAE 400XR and 500XR; integrated training centers; ab initio pilot training programs; cabin crew, maintenance, and ground personnel training courseware; airline operations digital solutions for crew management and optimization; defense and security training systems for air, land, and maritime applications encompassing simulation-based, live, virtual, and constructive environments; and operational support services. Founded in 1947 and headquartered in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, Canada, CAE operates manufacturing facilities and over 50 training centers across more than 35 countries including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia Pacific, Oceania, Africa, and the Americas, serving commercial aviation, business aviation, helicopter operators, military organizations, government agencies, original equipment manufacturers, and public safety entities. In recent developments, CAE appointed Matthew Bromberg as president and chief executive officer in August 2025 succeeding Marc Parent, who retired after leading the company since 2009; launched a corporate transformation plan focused on cost discipline, operational streamlining by merging commercial and business aviation training units and eliminating the chief operating officer role, and selective capital allocation with projected 10% lower capital expenditures for fiscal 2026; inaugurated Asia Pacific's first E-Jets E2 full-flight simulator through its expanded Embraer CAE Training Services joint venture in December 2025; completed a C$11.2 billion contract for Canada's Future Aircrew Training Program; increased its stake in SIMCOM Aviation Training with a $230 million investment to expand in business aviation; and previously acquired Sabre's AirCentre airline operations portfolio for US$392.5 million along with eight other accretive deals since the COVID-19 pandemic to enhance digital and recurring revenue streams while divesting its Healthcare segment in October 2023 to Madison Industries for C$311 million.
