(NLST) designs, manufactures and sells high-performance modular memory subsystems and storage solutions for server, high-performance computing, cloud, data center, networking, telecommunications, industrial, medical and embedded applications worldwide; its core products encompass DDR5 DIMMs including high-capacity multiplexer-reduced DIMMs (MRDIMMs) and Lightning DDR5 line, DDR4 DIMMs for commercial and industrial-grade environments, enterprise and data center NVMe SSDs in PCIe Gen4 and Gen3 form factors, embedded flash modules such as mSATA half-slim and 1.8-inch SATA SSDs, specialty and legacy DIMMs, storage class memory, nonvolatile memory, hybrid memory combining DRAM and NAND flash via patented technologies like HybriDIMM, NVvault NVDIMM, HyperCloud load-reduced DIMMs, distributed buffer architecture, proprietary PCB designs, thermal management and Compute Express Link (CXL) modules; the company also resells components including SSDs, NAND flash and dual inline memory modules (DIMMs) to storage, appliance, system builder and cloud customers, while licensing its extensive intellectual property portfolio covering hybrid memory, rank multiplication and load reduction. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Irvine, California, with manufacturing facilities in Suzhou, China, Netlist serves original equipment manufacturers, hyperscalers and enterprise customers through direct sales and independent representatives. In recent developments, Netlist secured a final court order in June 2025 finalizing a $445 million damages award against Micron Technology for willful patent infringement, prevailed in federal court against Samsung which materially breached a patent license agreement revoking its rights, expanded litigation against Samsung and Micron in July 2025 by amending complaints to include U.S. Patent No. 10,025,731 targeting DDR5 DIMM and high-bandwidth memory (HBM) products, completed a $12 million registered direct offering of common stock and warrants in June 2025 led by CEO Chun K. Hong's $3 million investment and a subsequent $10 million offering in October 2025, began sampling high-capacity MRDIMM products for AI memory markets with branded launches planned alongside CXL modules ramping in 2026, reported Q3 2025 financial results in November 2025, reduced operating expenses by 44% in Q1 2025, joined USIJ advocating patent reform and continued advancing HBM, AI-memory and DDR5 technologies amid ongoing IP enforcement.
