Business
DCM Shriram International Limited is an India-based diversified industrial manufacturing and engineering solutions provider operating across the industrial fibers, defense and aerospace, container systems, and engineering services sectors. The company operates through four principal business verticals: Industrial Fibers, Defence & Aerospace, Container Systems, and Engineering Product Solutions. In its Industrial Fibers segment, the company manufactures high-tenacity rayon tyre yarn; dipped and greige rayon tyre cord fabrics for passenger car tyres, high-speed radial tyres, and heavy-duty commercial tyres; chafer fabrics; heavy-duty industrial stitching cords; and high-tensile reinforcement cords for V-belts and conveyor belts through its Shriram Rayons division. In its Defence & Aerospace division, the company designs, develops, and manufactures multi-role light bullet-proof vehicles (LBPVs); tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and surveillance drone systems; opto-electronic assemblies; command and control communication systems; and custom military subsystems. In its Container Systems segment, the company produces standard ISO dry freight shipping containers; DNV-certified offshore cargo carrying units; modular containerized storage systems; and custom-engineered container enclosures for the power, defense, and logistics sectors. In its Engineering Product Solutions and Industrial Research division, the company provides turnkey precision machining, design-to-delivery prototyping, contract manufacturing, and industrialization services for automotive, renewable energy, and infrastructure clients. Incorporated in 2022 to carry forward key industrial divisions of the legacy DCM Group founded in 1889, DCM Shriram International Limited is headquartered in New Delhi, India, and maintains primary manufacturing facilities in Kota, Rajasthan, serving domestic markets as well as international clients across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. In recent corporate developments, the company became an independent publicly traded entity following the implementation of a National Company Law Tribunal-approved composite scheme of arrangement that demerged the industrial fibers, defense, and engineering container businesses from DCM Shriram Industries Limited, resulting in its listing on the National Stock Exchange of India and the Bombay Stock Exchange under the ticker DCMSIL. In addition, the company established a strategic defense collaboration and acquired a 30 percent equity stake in Turkish UAV specialist Zyrone Dynamics to indigenously manufacture autonomous military and civilian drone platforms in India, while expanding its specialized ISO container production capabilities to support national logistics modernization initiatives.
