Business
Dodla Dairy Limited, incorporated in 1995 and headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana, operates as an integrated dairy company primarily in India with international operations through subsidiaries. The company engages in the procurement, processing, distribution, and sale of a wide range of dairy products. Its product portfolio includes liquid milk variants such as toned, standardized, full cream, UHT toned, UHT cow, and UHT double toned milk; value-added dairy products including buttermilk, ghee (cow and buffalo variants), curd, paneer (acid-set non-melting cottage cheese), flavored milk in multiple flavors (badam, strawberry, pista, vanilla, elaichi, chocolate, pineapple), yogurt, butter, ice cream, Indian sweets, and doodh peda. Dodla also manufactures and sells cattle feed and engages in agricultural activities such as farming and seed crushing. The company operates 14 processing plants and 150 milk chilling centers across 11 Indian states and maintains a robust milk procurement network of over 7,800 village-level collection centers covering more than 8,400 villages, sourcing milk directly from approximately 110,000 farmers. Recently, Dodla Dairy made a significant strategic expansion by acquiring HR Food Processing Pvt Ltd, known for its dairy brand OSAM, in a ₹271 crore cash deal, enabling enhanced market penetration in eastern India, particularly in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. This acquisition strengthens Dodla's distribution footprint, operational capabilities, and farmer network in the eastern region. Additionally, Dodla's wholly-owned subsidiary Country Delight Dairy Limited inaugurated a new state-of-the-art dairy processing plant in Nyahururu Town, Laikipia County, Kenya, with a daily capacity of 100,000 liters, supporting its international expansion and commitment to growth in African markets. Dodla Dairy operates under an integrated business model encompassing end-to-end capabilities from milk procurement through processing, distribution, and marketing. Its operations cater to both retail consumers and institutional customers across domestic and international markets. The company’s strategic focus on value-added dairy products has driven revenue growth and market presence, with value-added products constituting a significant share of its portfolio. Overall, Dodla Dairy combines traditional dairy products with innovative offerings and geographic expansion to consolidate its position as a major player in the dairy sector in India and abroad.
