The company offers tower space leasing including ground-based towers, rooftop towers, monopoles, lightweight hybrid poles, and camouflaged structures; power management solutions with green energy initiatives such as solar-powered sites; NextGen service-centric Tower Operations Centre (TOC) for 24/7 surveillance, real-time fault alerts, automated maintenance, and cloud-based call center support; smart city infrastructure encompassing smart poles, LED lights, CCTV cameras, Wi-Fi, environment sensors, and variable digital messaging boards; and heterogeneous network products for enhanced coverage and capacity. Headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, and founded in November 2007 as a joint venture among Bharti Infratel, Vodafone Essar, and Idea Cellular, Indus Towers operates a portfolio exceeding 256,000 towers and 415,000 co-locations as of September 2025, serving major customers including Bharti Airtel, Bharti Hexacom, Vodafone Idea, and Reliance Jio Infocomm.
In recent developments, Indus Towers completed the merger with Bharti Infratel in November 2020, solidifying its position as a Bharti Airtel majority-owned subsidiary following Airtel's stake increase to over 50% and Vodafone Group's full exit by December 2024. The company announced in February 2025 an acquisition of approximately 16,100 telecom towers from Bharti Airtel and Bharti Hexacom for up to Rs 33,087 million via slump sale, expected to close by March 31, 2025, to boost market share, colocation opportunities, and revenue growth. In Q2 fiscal 2026, Indus Towers reported 9.7% year-over-year revenue growth to Rs 81.90 billion, added 4,301 macro towers and 4,505 co-locations, and launched strategic international expansion into Africa targeting Nigeria, Uganda, and Zambia with Bharti Airtel as anchor customer, alongside a wholly owned subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates for regional investments. Further, it pursued renewable energy optimization through planned stakes in special purpose vehicles like Amplus Tungabhadra (26% for Rs 27 crore in February 2025) and JSW Green Energy Eight (26% for Rs 38.03 crore targeted for March 2026).
