NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ: NXPI) designs, manufactures and markets semiconductors and software for secure connectivity solutions in automotive, industrial and IoT, mobile, and communication infrastructure markets; offers microcontrollers including S32 and LPC series, crossover processors such as i.MX RT700 and i.MX 94, application processors like i.MX 95, wireless connectivity solutions including RW612 wireless MCU and NFC chips, secure elements, RF power devices, radar sensors for ADAS, power management ICs, and analog/mixed-signal products for motor control, gateways and edge AI applications. The company, spun off from Philips and founded in 2006, maintains headquarters in Eindhoven, Netherlands, with operations across more than 30 countries including major facilities in the United States, Asia and Europe; serves original equipment manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers and distributors in target markets encompassing advanced driver-assistance systems, vehicle networking, smart homes, industrial automation, healthcare devices, mobile payments and 5G infrastructure. Recent developments include the completion of acquisitions of Aviva Links for $243 million in October 2025 to enhance Automotive SerDes Alliance-compliant in-vehicle networking and Kinara for $307 million to add high-performance neural processing units for AI edge systems in automotive and industrial end markets, alongside an expanded partnership with Honeywell announced in January 2025 to accelerate next-generation aviation technologies and plans for a new research facility in Greater Noida, India, as part of a $1 billion expansion.
