The company serves national oil and natural gas companies, major and independent producers, offshore drilling contractors, other oilfield service providers, defense contractors, and industrial customers with manufacturing and service facilities strategically located worldwide. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Oil States traces its origins to 1937 with key incorporations and acquisitions including Oil States Industries in 1949 and formation as CE Holdings in 1995 ahead of its 2001 NYSE IPO. Recent developments include a dual listing of its common stock on NYSE Texas in November 2025 while maintaining its NYSE listing, the sale of a previously idled facility generating $24.8 million in net proceeds, a $50 million share repurchase authorization initiated in October 2024 under which the company repurchased 1.5 million shares for $7.9 million, ongoing restructuring in U.S. land-based operations such as facility consolidations, service offering exits, and workforce reductions yielding improved Adjusted EBITDA margins from 13% in Q3 2024 to 29% in Q3 2025, and a record backlog of $399 million driven by offshore and international demand.
