Inc., provides wealth management, capital markets, investment banking, asset management, and related financial services to high-net-worth individuals, corporations, institutions, and governments worldwide. The company offers a comprehensive suite of products and services, including full-service retail securities brokerage; wealth planning and margin lending; institutional sales and trading in equities and fixed income; investment banking encompassing mergers and acquisitions advisory, public finance, equity and debt capital markets, restructurings, and strategic advisory; asset management strategies such as core fixed income, core plus fixed income, corporate core plus, and high yield fixed income portfolios focused on investment grade corporate bonds, mortgage-backed securities, U.S. Treasuries, high yield corporates, bank loans, and convertible securities; trust services; equity and fixed income research; market-making; retirement services; structured products; private equity advisory; and institutional custody and prime brokerage services. Oppenheimer operates across three primary segments--Private Client (wealth management), Asset Management, and Capital Markets--with offices in major U.S. locations such as New York City (headquarters at 85 Broad Street), Atlanta, Boston, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Stamford, as well as international presence in London, Hong Kong, Tel Aviv, Geneva, and Frankfurt. Tracing its origins to 1881 through predecessor Fahnestock & Co. and formally established in 1950 as Oppenheimer & Co., the company is headquartered in New York City and maintains a global footprint primarily in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. In recent developments, Oppenheimer announced in February 2025 that long-time Chairman and CEO Albert G. Lowenthal will step down as CEO on May 5, 2025, transitioning to Executive Chairman while Robert S. Lowenthal, current President and Head of Investment Banking, assumes the roles of CEO and President. The firm redeemed all of its $113 million 5.50% Senior Secured Notes due 2025 in October 2024, eliminating outstanding public debt and reducing interest expense amid a strong balance sheet. Additionally, in November 2024, Oppenheimer partnered with Pontera to integrate 401(k) account management into its wealth management offerings, enabling advisors to provide holistic portfolio oversight for clients' workplace retirement plans. The company expanded its Emerging Markets Desk, recruited specialized bankers in Consumer, Healthcare, and Technology sectors, grew its Fixed Income capabilities in high yield and distressed debt, and launched Institutional Custody and Prime Services (CAPS) with initial client additions in late 2024, contributing to record client assets under management of $49.4 billion and assets under administration of $129.5 billion by year-end 2024 alongside 14.7% revenue growth to $1.432 billion.
