Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Vienna, Austria, the company serves private and business customers through an extensive branch network offering additional services in packaging, shipping, gifts, stationery, stamps, philately, RIA Money Transfer, copy and fax, household vouchers, digital currencies, and energy products. In a significant recent development, Österreichische Post AG announced in November 2025 the acquisition of a 70% stake in Bulgaria-based e-commerce logistics provider euShipments.com for approximately EUR 55 million, pending regulatory approval and expected to close in early 2026, enhancing its Central and Eastern European presence and e-commerce solutions portfolio with options for the remaining 30% stake over four years.
