Business
Astral Resources NL (ASX:AAR) is an Australia-based gold exploration and development company focused on advancing mineral projects in Western Australia's Goldfields region. Incorporated in 1985 and headquartered in South Perth, the company holds 100% ownership of its flagship Mandilla Gold Project, located 70km south of Kalgoorlie with a mineral resource estimate of 42 million tonnes at 1.1 g/t Au for 1.43 million ounces; the Feysville Gold Project, 14km south of the KCGM Super Pit with a resource of 5 million tonnes at 1.2 g/t Au for 196,000 ounces; the Carnilya Hill project; and the Spargoville Project following its acquisition of Maximus Resources Limited in May 2025, collectively forming a resource inventory exceeding 1.8 million ounces. Core activities encompass gold exploration, resource delineation through drilling programs, mineral resource estimation, feasibility studies including a Definitive Feasibility Study for Mandilla due in 2026, and preparatory work toward development and production targeting 100,000 ounces annually at Mandilla. In late 2024, Astral acquired a 19.99% stake in Maximus Resources Limited (ASX:MXR) and proposed a full takeover at a 56% premium, culminating in the May 2025 acquisition that expanded its portfolio; recent high-grade drilling extended mineralization at key projects, key management appointments bolstered the Mandilla development team, a native title agreement was finalized, and ongoing exploration including 2,018m of assays in late 2025 supports resource growth. Operations target the Kalgoorlie-Kambalda region's tier-1 jurisdiction, serving institutional investors with a strengthened balance sheet of A$18.6 million cash as of June 2025.
