Founded in 1960 and headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, Erdemir operates as Turkey's leading flat steel producer with integrated facilities including its main plant in Eregli, Zonguldak, and affiliates such as Iskenderun Demir ve Celik AS (Isdemir) and Erdemir-Romania SRL. Recent developments include the commissioning of its second blast furnace Zubeyde in 2023 on the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic, substantial capital expenditures totaling $1.1 billion in 2024 and $631 million in the first nine months of 2025 for projects like a new blast furnace at Isdemir and the fourth coke battery, alongside the publication of its 2024 Integrated Annual Report highlighting sustainability initiatives in its green steel journey.
