Business
Puma Biotechnology, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of innovative cancer therapeutics. Its primary products include NERLYNX® (neratinib), a potent irreversible tyrosine kinase inhibitor for the extended adjuvant treatment of adult patients with early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer, approved by the U.S. FDA and marketed in the United States since 2017. NERLYNX is also approved for combination treatment in advanced or metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer and authorized in the European Union and multiple international regions including Canada, Latin America, Greater China, Israel, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. Puma also develops alisertib, an orally administered, selective inhibitor of aurora kinase A, targeting metastatic breast cancer and other cancers. The company in-licenses drug candidates and pursues clinical development to expand product indications. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Los Angeles, California, Puma Biotechnology has recently reported an 8% increase in U.S. NERLYNX sales and ongoing clinical trials with interim data for alisertib expected in late 2025. It has expanded commercialization partnerships notably in Eastern Europe and Central Asia and secured financial backing through note purchase agreements to support its commercial and R&D activities. The company remains focused on enhancing cancer care by advancing its flagship product NERLYNX and expanding its oncology pipeline with alisertib and other in-licensed candidates.
