Business
Peninsula Energy Limited is an Australia-based uranium mining and development company focused on in-situ recovery (ISR) operations in the United States. The company wholly owns the Lance Projects in Wyoming, including the Lance, Kendrick, and Ross production areas, as well as the Dagger Project; Lance features a JORC (2012) Resource of 58.0 million pounds U3O8 and produces yellowcake (U3O8) through low-pH ISR mining followed by processing at its fully constructed Central Processing Plant (CPP). Peninsula operates via its US subsidiary Strata Energy Inc., targeting nuclear fuel utilities in the United States and Europe with long-term sales contracts; it maintains headquarters in Subiaco, Western Australia, where it was incorporated in 1993, formerly as Peninsula Minerals Limited until a name change in November 2010. In August 2025, Peninsula completed a fully underwritten A$69.9 million equity raise at A$0.30 per share, comprising a two-tranche institutional placement and accelerated non-renounceable entitlement offer, with cornerstone commitments from Tees River Uranium Fund (up to A$22.5 million) and Davidson Kempner (up to US$3 million offset against debt); proceeds fund CPP final payments, wellfield development, Kendrick/Dagger studies, termination of five of six offtake contracts (US$5 million payment), and working capital. Production re-commenced at Lance in December 2024 with resin loading, transitioning to CPP Phase 2 feed; Wyoming authorities approved operations, targeting first dried yellowcake by September 2025 end, with revised guidance of up to 50,000 lbs U3O8 in CY2025, 400,000-500,000 lbs in CY2026, and 500,000-600,000 lbs in CY2027 following a comprehensive operational reset including wellfield optimizations, contract terminations, and organizational restructuring.
