(NYSE: PRU) provides a broad range of insurance, retirement, and investment management products and services to individual, institutional, and group customers through its subsidiaries worldwide; core offerings include life insurance such as term, universal, and variable policies, annuities encompassing fixed, variable, and indexed products, retirement strategies featuring defined contribution and defined benefit plans along with pension risk transfer solutions, group insurance covering life, disability, and long-term care, and asset management via PGIM which encompasses public and private fixed income, equities, real estate, commercial mortgage origination, mutual funds, private credit, and alternative investments. Founded in 1875 and headquartered in Newark, New Jersey, the company operates primarily in the United States, Japan, and over 40 other countries through segments including PGIM, Retirement Strategies, Group Insurance, Individual Life, and International Businesses, targeting mass middle, mass affluent, affluent individuals, institutions, and employers.
