Business
Doosan Skoda Power a.s. (DSPW.PR) manufactures and supplies steam turbines and turbo-generator systems for power generation applications worldwide. The company, founded in 1869 and headquartered in Plzen, Czech Republic, designs customized steam turbines ranging from 3 MW to 1,300 MW; produces high- and low-pressure turbine sections, including condensing, back-pressure, and reheating types; and provides comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction services for thermal, nuclear, cogeneration, waste-to-energy, biomass, and renewable energy plants, with additional offerings in OEM and non-OEM maintenance, modernizations, retrofits, spare parts, and lifetime extension solutions. As a subsidiary of South Korea's Doosan Group since 2009, it operates globally across Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa, and Australia, serving utilities, industrial clients, and energy firms such as CEZ, EPH, and Orlen with approximately 1,013 employees. Recent developments include its February 2025 listing on the Prague Stock Exchange following an initial public offering that raised funds for nuclear energy expansion, including small modular reactors; a September 2025 contract win valued at several billion Czech koruna with CEZ to replace generators at the Temelin Nuclear Power Plant units 1 and 2, including 15-year maintenance; an October 2025 letter of intent with I&C Energo for collaboration on the Temelin project and potential Dukovany new units; and a 2025 contract for the third turbine (TG6, second heating stage) modernization at Opatovice Power Plant to support cogeneration and decarbonization, building on prior TG3 and TG5 deliveries.
