In recent developments, Orlen S.A. rebranded from PKN Orlen S.A. to Orlen S.A. in July 2023 to reflect its multi-energy focus, expanded its renewable portfolio by acquiring two solar PV farms and a wind farm from EDP Renewables Polska in October 2024 boosting onshore wind capacity to 580 MW and solar to over 350 MW, secured PLN 3.5 billion in financing from Poland's National Recovery and Resilience Plan in October 2025 for offshore wind projects including Baltic Power (1.2 GW operational targeted for 2026) and Baltic East, and obtained over PLN 1.7 billion in EU recovery grants in June 2025 for hydrogen initiatives Green H2 and Hydrogen Eagle.
