Business
Quanta Services, Inc. (NYSE: PWR) is a leading provider of specialized infrastructure contracting services to the electric power, renewable energy, pipeline, industrial and communications industries. The company offers comprehensive end-to-end solutions, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, upgrade, repair and maintenance of electric power transmission and distribution networks, substations, switchyards and related facilities; renewable energy infrastructure such as wind, solar, hydropower and battery storage projects; pipeline construction, integrity management, facility construction, gas distribution and corrosion protection services; broadband, fiber optic, wireless and other communications network deployment; and industrial infrastructure services encompassing mechanical, process and fabrication solutions for manufacturing, technology and load center markets. Quanta operates through two primary segments--Electric Power Infrastructure Solutions and Underground Utility and Infrastructure Solutions--serving electric utilities, cooperatives, municipalities, oil and gas companies, telecommunications providers, cable operators and industrial clients across the United States, Canada, Australia and select international markets. Founded in 1997 through the merger of four regional electrical contractors and headquartered at 2727 North Loop West in Houston, Texas, Quanta has grown into one of North America's largest specialty contractors, employing approximately 40,000 workers and generating combined revenues of about $24.9 billion in 2024. In recent developments, Quanta has pursued aggressive inorganic growth, completing eight acquisitions in 2024 and five more during the first nine months of 2025, including the July 2025 acquisition of Dynamic Systems Inc. for approximately $1.35 billion in upfront consideration to bolster its mechanical and process infrastructure capabilities for high-growth technology and manufacturing sectors. These transactions, which also encompass strategic tuck-in purchases enhancing its craft-led services in renewable energy, transmission and underground utilities, have expanded Quanta's total addressable market, diversified its customer base and contributed accretive revenues and EBITDA amid surging demand for critical infrastructure supporting electrification, data centers and clean energy transitions.
