(RDIB) is an entertainment and real estate company engaged in the ownership, development, and operation of multiplex cinemas and retail, commercial, and live theater properties primarily in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. The company operates through two main segments: Theatrical Motion Picture Exhibition, which includes multiplex cinemas under brands such as Reading Cinemas, Consolidated Theatres, Angelika Film Center, State Cinema by Angelika, Angelika Anywhere, Event Cinemas, and Rialto Cinemas, offering premium formats like Titan Lux, Dolby Atmos, recliner seating, and enhanced food and beverage options; and Real Estate, which encompasses the development, rental, and licensing of retail centers, commercial buildings, and live theater venues, often anchored by company-owned cinemas to create entertainment-themed destinations. Incorporated in 1999 with roots tracing to 1937 and headquartered in New York, New York, Reading International, Inc. employs over 2,000 people worldwide and targets moviegoers, retail tenants, and commercial investors across its key markets. In recent developments, the company completed significant property monetizations within the last 18 months, including the sale of its Culver City building for $10.0 million in Q1 2024, Wellington property assets in New Zealand for NZ$38.0 million in Q1 2025, and the Cannon Park entertainment and retail centers in Townsville, Australia, for AU$32.0 million in May 2025. Ongoing initiatives include extensive cinema renovations, such as adding recliner seating to eight screens at Valley Plaza, installing Titan Lux and premium screens at Angelika in Fairfax, Virginia, by end-2026, and full upgrades with recliners and premium concepts at a New Zealand location by 2027; in Australia, a Titan Lux with Dolby Atmos and recliner-equipped premium screen is planned for 2026.
