Business
Rogers Corporation (NYSE: ROG), headquartered in Chandler, Arizona and founded in 1832, designs, manufactures and sells engineered materials and other components that enable high-performance, reliable applications in advanced electronics and other demanding end-markets including electric and hybrid-electric vehicles (EV/HEV), automotive safety and radar systems, wireless infrastructure, portable electronics, renewable energy, aerospace and defense, and industrial equipment. The company operates through two primary segments: Advanced Electronics Solutions (AES), which provides high-frequency circuit materials such as RO3000 laminates and RT/duroid for wireless infrastructure, 5G base stations, satellite communications and automotive radar; power electronics solutions including ceramic substrates (curamik active metal brazed (AMB) and direct bonded copper (DBC)), busbars, power interconnects and cooling solutions for EV/HEV inverters, renewable energy inverters, high-voltage rail traction and industrial motor drives; and Elastomeric Material Solutions (EMS), which offers PORON polyurethane foams, BISCO silicone foams and engineered silicones for vibration damping, sealing, gasketing, impact protection and thermal management in portable electronics, EV/HEV battery systems, aerospace interiors, automotive sealing and general industrial applications; as well as other advanced materials for defense, consumer products and elastomer components. Rogers maintains manufacturing facilities in the United States, Belgium, China, Germany, Hungary and South Korea, with sales offices and joint ventures worldwide, serving customers across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. Recent developments include the launch of PORON 40V0 polyurethane foam in September 2025 for enhanced fire-retardant applications; new thermoset laminates in February 2025 targeted at automotive radar sensors; a CEO transition in July 2025 with Colin Gouveia assuming the role of President and CEO; announcement in October 2025 of Board Chair Peter Wallace not standing for re-election at the 2026 annual meeting alongside plans to add a new independent director; plans for a new factory in China by 2025 to produce curamik AMB and DBC substrates amid rising demand in EV/HEV and renewable energy; ongoing manufacturing footprint optimization including the wind-down of AES operations in Evergem, Belgium; and a track record of six acquisitions over the past eight years including Silicone Engineering in 2021, with continued pursuit of bolt-on targets in high-margin engineered materials.
