(NYSE: RS), formerly Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co., operates as the largest metals service center company in North America, providing metals processing services and distributing approximately 100,000 metal products including aluminum in forms such as sheet, plate and extrusions; brass and copper products for fittings, gears and defense applications; carbon steel products encompassing plate, coil, bar and pipe; stainless steel in sheet, bar, plate and pipe configurations; as well as alloy, titanium and specialty metals; value-added processing services such as cutting-to-length, sawing, machining, bending, welding, shearing, grinding, leveling and thermal processing to over 125,000 customers including fabricators, manufacturers and end markets in aerospace, automotive, construction, energy, defense and semiconductor industries. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, the company was founded in 1939 in Los Angeles, California, and maintains an extensive network of over 300 locations across North America with select international presence in countries including Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia through more than 75 subsidiaries and brands such as Phoenix Metals, United Pipe & Steel, Metals USA, EMJ, Yarde Metals and National Specialty Alloys. In recent major developments, Reliance changed its name to Reliance, Inc. on February 15, 2024, to reflect its evolution into a diversified metal solutions provider; agreed to acquire American Alloy Steel, Inc. in February 2024, adding specialty carbon steel plate, fabrication capabilities including burning, cutting, rolling and beveling, and approximately $310 million in annual net sales serving military, infrastructure and energy markets; and completed four acquisitions in 2024 alongside robust Q3 2025 financial performance, enhancing its value-added processing and market penetration.
