Rogers Sugar Inc. Rogers Sugar Inc. (TSX: RSI), the holding company of Lantic Inc., refines, packages, markets and distributes sugar and maple products primarily in Canada, the United States, Europe and other international markets. Lantic operates cane sugar refineries in Montreal, Quebec, and Vancouver, British Columbia; the only Canadian sugar beet processing facility in Taber, Alberta; and a distribution center in Toronto, Ontario. Its sugar products, marketed under the Lantic brand in Eastern Canada and Rogers brand in Western Canada, include granulated, icing, cube, yellow, brown, organic, plantation raw, liquid and specialty syrups for industrial (food processing), consumer (retail), liquid and export markets; by-products such as beet pulp pellets and molasses; and maple syrup and derived products (bulk syrup, sugar, flakes) under brands including TMTC, Uncle Luke's, Great Northern, Decacer and Highland Sugarworks produced at facilities in Granby, Degelis, St-Honore-de-Shenley, Quebec, and Websterville, Vermont. Founded in 1888 and headquartered at 123 Rogers Street in Vancouver, British Columbia, with administrative offices in Montreal, Quebec, the company serves food and beverage manufacturers, retailers and wholesalers with approximately 956 employees. Recent developments include a $117.9 million equity offering in March 2024 to fund the LEAP project, a $280-300 million expansion adding 100,000 metric tonnes of refining capacity at the Montreal refinery plus logistics upgrades in Eastern Canada, with construction advancing toward in-service in mid-2027; a five-year sugar beet supply agreement with Alberta Sugar Beet Growers in May 2025 covering 2025-2029 crops; renewal of the Rogers Refined strategic framework emphasizing modernization, profitability and ESG; and strong fiscal 2025 results with adjusted EBITDA of $150.4 million and sugar volumes of 781,454 metric tonnes.
