Rolls-Royce Holdings plc designs, manufactures, services and supports integrated power and propulsion systems for air, sea and land applications; the company operates through Civil Aerospace, Defence, Power Systems and New Markets segments. Civil Aerospace provides large and regional aero-engines including Trent series (Trent 700, 800, 900, 1000, XWB, 7000), Pearl engines for business jets, and comprehensive aftermarket services via long-term contracts; Defence supplies military aero-engines such as EJ200 for Eurofighter Typhoon, RB199 for Tornado, LiftSystem for F-35 Lightning II, plus naval gas turbines and nuclear reactor systems for submarines; Power Systems delivers diesel, gas and nuclear engines, integrated solutions for marine propulsion, power generation and industrial uses including MTU Series 4000; New Markets focuses on small modular reactors (SMRs) and electrical power solutions. Founded in 1904 and headquartered in London, United Kingdom, Rolls-Royce maintains operations and presence in over 48 countries serving airlines, armed forces, navies, marine operators and energy customers worldwide. Recent developments include the sale of its naval propulsors business to Fairbanks Morse Defense in July 2025 and lower-power-range engines division in 2024; advancement of Rolls-Royce SMR to final selection stages in Swedish and UK nuclear programs, entry into US regulatory process; $75 million investment to expand MTU Series 4000 production at Aiken, South Carolina facility; opening of a global capability centre in Bengaluru, India; credit rating upgrade to BBB+ by S&P Global in August 2025; and confirmation of strong performance across divisions with reaffirmed 2025 profit guidance.
