Business
Schneider Electric S.E. is a global energy management and industrial automation company that provides digital solutions for homes, buildings, data centers, infrastructure and industries, with operations across Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and other international markets. Founded in 1836 and headquartered in Rueil-Malmaison, France, the company sells low- and medium-voltage electrical equipment and systems; switchgear and control gear; circuit protection, wiring devices and power distribution products; UPS systems, cooling systems and other critical power infrastructure; building management and energy monitoring systems; industrial automation hardware and software; variable speed drives; renewable energy and microgrid solutions; and associated services, software, and controls for energy, electrification and automation applications. In recent periods, Schneider Electric has expanded its strategic focus on data centers, artificial intelligence infrastructure and grid flexibility, highlighted by new U.S. data center deals, including a partnership with Switch and an agreement with Digital Realty, as well as new 2026 product launches such as Schneider Charge, Charge Pro, EcoStruxure Water Advisor, the multi-chemistry APC Smart-UPS and EcoStruxure Foxboro Software Defined Automation. The company also agreed to acquire Cognite in 2026 to strengthen industrial AI and the AVEVA CONNECT platform, while earlier actions included full ownership of Schneider Electric India Private Limited after buying the remaining 35% from Temasek in December 2025 and continued investments in regional manufacturing capacity, including new hub capacity in India, Europe and the United States.
