Business
Hana Microelectronics Public Company Limited (HANA.BK) manufactures and trades electronic components, sub-assemblies, and small electronic finished products, with principal segments encompassing Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), Integrated Circuit (IC) assembly and test, and other specialized offerings. The company provides a broad array of services including chip-on-board and chip-on-flex assembly and test; lamination; coil winding; LED packaging and test; electronics manufacturing services (EMS); outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) for ICs, MEMS, sensors, TO-can packages, system-in-packages (SIP), optocouplers, and surface-mount technology (SMT); liquid crystal microdisplays; radio frequency identification (RFID) devices; and IC power management silicon and silicon carbide (SiC) wafer devices. Hana operates seven manufacturing facilities through its subsidiaries in Thailand (Lamphun, Ayutthaya), China (Jiaxing), the United States (Ohio), Cambodia, and Korea, serving diverse electronic industries with a workforce exceeding 10,000 employees across more than 1.1 million square feet of production space. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, the company maintains 100% ownership of key subsidiaries such as Hana Semiconductor (Ayutthaya) Co., Ltd., Hana Microelectronics (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd., Hana Technologies, Inc., Hana Microelectronics (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., and Power Master Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Its operations extend internationally to markets including the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Bulgaria, and beyond, targeting sectors such as access control devices, remote controls, commercial products, home appliances, electric vehicles, and data centers. In recent developments, Hana partnered with PTT in a joint venture supported by a US$350 million investment from the Thailand Board of Investment to establish the country's first silicon carbide (SiC) chip fabrication facility, targeting applications in electric vehicles and data centers. The company reported a 45% drop in 3Q24 net profit to THB 405.85 million amid softer demand, yet approved a THB 0.25 per share dividend and anticipates gradual order recovery in 2H25, with net cash reserves rising to THB 10.2 billion by end-2024. Additionally, subsidiaries like Power Master Semiconductor in Korea saw 40% sales growth and Hana Technologies Inc. in the US achieved 20% revenue increase in 3Q24 year-over-year, signaling resilience in select segments.
