Business
OKP Holdings Limited is an infrastructure and civil engineering company engaged in the construction and maintenance of transport, civil, and environmental infrastructure, as well as property development and real estate investment. Founded in 1966 and headquartered in Singapore, the company operates primarily through three core business segments: Construction, Maintenance, and Property Development and Investment. The Construction segment provides specialized civil engineering and general construction services for public and private sector infrastructure projects, including the construction of expressways, flyovers, vehicular bridges, urban and arterial roads, and pedestrian overhead bridges; airport infrastructure comprising runways, taxiways, and aircraft parking aprons; drainage canals, flood alleviation structures, culverts, and deep tunnel sewerage systems; marine civil works and coastal protection structures; and oil and gas civil infrastructure, including pipeline corridor construction, plant civil works, and equipment foundations for petrochemical facilities. The Maintenance segment provides preventive, routine, and structural maintenance services for public and private infrastructure assets, including road resurfacing, asphalt paving, and pavement milling; structural inspection, repair, and upgrading of vehicular bridges, flyovers, and underpasses; improvement and maintenance of commuter facilities, including sheltered walkways, barrier-free access ramps, footpaths, cycling path networks, and bus shelters; maintenance and desilting of drainage systems; and estate infrastructure and road-related horticultural maintenance. The Property Development and Investment segment engages in the acquisition, development, project management, and leasing of residential, commercial, industrial, and hospitality properties, offering private residential developments, boutique hotels, commercial office assets, and student accommodation properties. The company serves public sector statutory bodies, municipal authorities, energy multinationals, and private real estate developers, with major public clients including the Land Transport Authority, the Public Utilities Board, JTC Corporation, the Housing & Development Board, and Changi Airport Group. OKP Holdings Limited executes its operations through principal operating subsidiaries, including Or Kim Peow Contractors (Pte) Ltd, Eng Lam Contractors Co (Pte) Ltd, OKP Investments Pte. Ltd., OKP (Oil & Gas) Infrastructure Pte. Ltd., and OKP Land Pte. Ltd. While its civil engineering and infrastructure maintenance activities are concentrated in Singapore, the company maintains cross-border property investment and development exposure in Australia and the United Kingdom. In recent operational developments, OKP Holdings Limited has secured multiple substantial public infrastructure contracts for road enhancement, cycling path network construction, and drainage improvement works across Singapore, expanding its construction order book. The group has also advanced its strategic initiative to grow recurring income by expanding its overseas commercial and residential property investment portfolio in the United Kingdom and Australia, forming strategic joint ventures for property development, and integrating sustainable construction practices, including asphalt recycling technologies, precast construction methodologies, and Building Information Modelling (BIM) across its project management workflows.
