- Horizon Robotics (9660.HK), an investment holding company, provides advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving (AD) solutions for passenger vehicles primarily in China. The company operates through two segments, Automotive Solutions and Non-Automotive Solutions; its core automotive offerings include Horizon Mono, a front-camera ADAS solution featuring 1-5x 2MP and/or 8MP cameras supporting safety functions such as AEB, LKA, LDW, FCW, TSR, and IHBC, as well as L2 comfort functions including ACC, ICA, TJA, and ALC; Horizon Pilot, a highway navigate-on-autopilot solution; Horizon SuperDrive, a full-scenario autonomous driving and parking solution powered by Journey 6 that enables highway, urban, and parking use cases with transformer-based end-to-end algorithms, data-driven decision-making, and human-like driving experiences; and Horizon Journey, an automotive-grade computing platform for energy solutions. Non-automotive solutions enable device manufacturers to design and produce AI-enabled appliances and smart devices. Horizon Robotics also provides proprietary software development toolkits, open software stacks supporting frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow, and scalable hardware integrating low-power chips such as the Journey and Matrix series for ADAS, AD, intelligent cabins, and edge computing applications.
Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Beijing, China, the company maintains additional operations in Nanjing and Shenzhen, China; Stuttgart, Germany; and Santa Clara, California, USA, targeting leading OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, ODMs, ISVs, and sensor partners in the smart mobility ecosystem. Its solutions are adopted by 27 OEMs across 42 brands in 290 car models, including all of China's top ten OEMs, with mass production deployments since 2021 and exports to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and Latin America.
In October 2024, Horizon Robotics completed its initial public offering on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, raising HK$5.4 billion ($696 million) in Hong Kong's largest tech IPO of the year, with cornerstone investments from Alibaba, Baidu, Merit France SAS, and Ningbo Tongshang, marking a key step for international expansion. In April 2025, the company intensified collaboration with Bosch through a Memorandum of Understanding, leveraging Journey 6B for Bosch's new multi-purpose camera-based ADAS products to accelerate global assisted driving adoption. Also in April 2025, Horizon Robotics deepened its alliance with Volkswagen Group via their CARIZON joint venture, integrating Horizon SuperDrive into upcoming Volkswagen models in China to support full-stack intelligent driving under the "In China, For China" strategy.
