Business
EnGro Corporation Limited is an investment holding company that manufactures and distributes building materials, specialty polymer compounds, and green construction solutions. Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Singapore, the company operates primarily through three business segments: Cement and Building Materials, Specialty Polymer, and Investments. The Cement and Building Materials segment produces, markets, and distributes low-carbon and eco-friendly construction materials, including Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag (GGBS) under the proprietary VCEM brand; Portland blast furnace cement; ordinary Portland cement; ready-mix concrete through its Top-Mix Concrete operations; and pre-packed dry-mix mortar products under the Premix brand for civil engineering, residential, commercial, and infrastructure applications. The Specialty Polymer segment develops, manufactures, and supplies customized thermoset and thermoplastic polymer compounds; engineering plastics; and specialty masterbatches for automotive, electrical, electronic, and industrial packaging applications. The Investments segment manages a diversified portfolio comprising venture capital investments in technology, cleantech, and semiconductor startups, along with private equity funds and real estate assets. Geographically, EnGro conducts manufacturing, processing, and distribution operations through subsidiaries and joint ventures in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and China. In recent developments, EnGro Corporation Limited has expanded its strategic initiatives around decarbonization by scaling the commercial deployment of its low-carbon VCEM slag cement to meet green building rating requirements across Southeast Asia; entered into strategic collaborations with industry partners and research institutions to formulate ultra-low-embodied-carbon concrete solutions; rationalized and restructured its joint venture production capacities in Mainland China to improve capital efficiency; and deepened its sustainable investment strategy by deploying growth capital into advanced material science and green technology ventures.
