- Supermax Corporation Berhad Supermax Corporation Berhad is an investment holding company that manufactures, distributes and markets medical gloves and contact lenses. The company produces various types of nitrile, latex and natural rubber gloves, including powder-free examination gloves under brands such as Supermax, Aurelia and Maxter; it also offers personal protective equipment, healthcare products and medical devices. Supermax Corporation Berhad operates eleven manufacturing plants in Malaysia equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and biomass energy systems, alongside a research and development center; it maintains eight own distribution centers in the United States, Brazil, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan, and collaborates with over 1,200 independent distributors worldwide. The group exports to more than 165 countries across America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Oceania and Africa, serving laboratories, hospitals, pharmacists, doctors, surgeons, dental and scientific markets, with America as its largest revenue contributor. Founded in 1987 by Dato' Seri Stanley Thai and Datin Seri Cheryl Tan as a latex glove trading business in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, Malaysia, it ventured into manufacturing in 1989 and became Malaysia's first own-brand glove manufacturer. In May 2024, Supermax Corporation Berhad acquired the remaining 33% stake in its Canadian subsidiary Supermax Healthcare Canada Inc for RM18.96 million, making it a wholly-owned entity focused on glove marketing and distribution; the group commissioned half the capacity of Phase 1 at its Texas manufacturing plant in January 2025, adding 2.4 billion pieces of annual glove production capacity.
