Business
Alleima AB (publ) Alleima AB (publ) is a Sweden-based global manufacturer of advanced stainless steels, special alloys and industrial heating solutions for demanding applications across energy, medical, aerospace, chemical, transportation and other sectors. Founded in 1862 and headquartered in Sandviken, the company operates in approximately 80 countries with around 6,800 employees and reported revenues of SEK 19.7 billion in 2024. Its core products and services encompass seamless tubes and pipes in austenitic stainless steels, duplex stainless steels, nickel alloys, titanium and zirconium for heat exchangers, oil and gas operations and nuclear fuel assemblies; precision strip steel and coated strip steel for compressors, valves, knives, fuel cells and consumer applications; fine wires and wire-based components including nitinol for medical devices, micro-electronics and endoscopy tools such as guidewires, polypectomy snares and stone retrieval baskets; solid and hollow bars, fittings, billets, blooms and furnace products; as well as the Kanthal portfolio of electric heating elements operating from 50 to 1,850 degrees Celsius for electrification and sustainable heating processes, supported by over 900 active alloys and custom recipes. Alleima maintains a fully integrated value chain from research and development to end-products, emphasizing sustainability, circularity and high-performance materials like corrosion-resistant alloys for renewable energy, hydrogen production and lightweight transportation components. In recent developments, the company completed the acquisition of Endox Feinwerktechnik GmbH and Endox Polska Sp. z o.o. in early 2025, adding specialized manufacturing capabilities in nitinol processing, guidewire production, laser cutting and micro plasma welding for endoscopic medical applications in urology, gastroenterology and endoscopy, with Endox rebranded as Alleima in October 2025 to drive product innovation, geographic expansion and market growth in the medical segment.
