Mentice AB (publ) (MNTC.ST) develops, manufactures, and markets simulation solutions for image-guided interventional therapies, including virtual reality-based training platforms and clinical decision-support software for endovascular procedures in cardiology, neurology, vascular surgery, and radiology. The company offers core products such as the Mentice VIST virtual reality simulator platforms with procedural learning modules covering acute ischemic stroke intervention, atrial septal defect occlusion, aortic valve implantation, endovascular aortic repair, carotid intervention, coronary advanced/essential/intermediate procedures, left atrial appendage occlusion, neurovascular coiling and thrombectomy, peripheral angiography, prostatic artery embolization, radiation safety, renal denervation, thoracic endovascular aortic repair, transarterial chemoembolization, transseptal puncture, uterine artery embolization, and vascular trauma; patient-specific simulation accessories and extensions; Ankyras clinical decision-support software for intracranial aneurysm treatment planning with flow diverter simulations; physical simulation products including 3D-printed vessels and physiological flow systems; NV CONNECT for neurovascular training; Mentice Right Heart Cath mobile app; Mentice Live Learning Center cloud-based platform; and integration solutions for angio suites and robotic systems. It also provides professional services encompassing onboarding, maintenance, event support, device rentals, and custom development. Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, Mentice operates globally through three segments—Systems, Software Licenses, and Service—serving healthcare providers, medical device companies, and training institutions in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas, with approximately 134 employees. The company targets interventional physicians, hospitals, and MedTech firms to enhance procedural skills, pre-procedural planning, device adoption, and clinical outcomes via scientifically validated solutions. Recent developments include the acquisition of all substantial assets from Biomodex in 2024 for EUR 200,000 to expand physical simulation capabilities in neurovascular and structural heart procedures; FDA 510(k) clearance and U.S. launch of Ankyras 4.0 in May 2025, alongside ANVISA notification for Brazil expansion; launch of NV CONNECT neurovascular platform; a three-year strategic partnership with Acandis GmbH and the German Society of Interventional Cardiology for Ankyras deployment valued at SEK 8.9 million; and multiple large orders from top-20 global MedTech firms including Medtronic, Stryker, and others totaling millions in VIST systems, development services, and simulation solutions, such as USD 795,000, EUR 1,733,200, USD 690,000, and USD 655,000 in 2023-2025. In 2025, Mentice completed an oversubscribed rights issue raising approximately SEK 31.95 million to bolster liquidity; appointed Frans Venker as CEO effective January 2025 and Ulrika Drotz Voksepp as CFO; consolidated physical simulation R&D and manufacturing in Denver, Colorado; and announced workforce realignment for cost savings of SEK 25 million annually. These initiatives support strategic shifts toward efficiency, neurovascular growth, and sustained profitability amid market challenges.
