Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (NAS.OL), trading as Norwegian, operates as Scandinavia's second-largest low-cost airline and Norway's largest carrier, providing short-haul point-to-point passenger flights within the Nordics, to key European business destinations including London and holiday markets in the Mediterranean, Canary Islands and North Africa; the company also offers ancillary services such as in-flight food and beverages for purchase, checked baggage fees, WiFi access, video on demand entertainment and its Norwegian Reward frequent-flyer program for earning points on tickets and add-ons. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, founded in 1993 and headquartered at Fornebu outside Oslo, Norway, manages a fleet of approximately 96 Boeing 737 aircraft including 37 Boeing 737-800s and six Boeing 737 MAX 8s operated directly plus additional aircraft under its fully-owned subsidiary Norwegian Air Sweden; operations span subsidiaries in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Spain and the UK, serving over 100 destinations with high-frequency domestic Scandinavian routes and intra-Nordic services complemented by the 2024 acquisition of regional carrier Widerøe for enhanced connectivity.
