Business
Vistry Group PLC (LSE: VTY) is a leading United Kingdom-based housebuilder focused on the design, construction and sale of new homes across private, affordable and private rented sectors. The company offers a diverse portfolio of residential properties through its retail brands Bovis Homes, Linden Homes and Countryside Homes, which provide starter homes, one- and two-bedroom apartments, three- to six-bedroom detached family homes and award-winning developments in prime locations; through its business-to-business brand Countryside Partnerships, it delivers multi-tenure regeneration projects including affordable housing, private sale units and private rental sector properties for housing associations, local authorities, registered providers and the private rented sector. Vistry operates Vistry Works, a timber-frame manufacturing operation with three factories supporting net zero ambitions, and develops sustainable communities across England including major projects like the Aylesbury Estate redevelopment and Meridian Water. Founded in 1885 and headquartered at 11 Tower View, Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent, United Kingdom, Vistry traces its roots through predecessor Bovis Homes (demerged in 1997) and has grown via strategic consolidation in the UK residential construction industry. The company serves private customers, social landlords and public sector partners, with approximately 4,600 employees and a presence across England. In recent developments, Vistry completed the acquisition of Countryside Partnerships in November 2022, integrating its capabilities to form a top-tier partnerships-led model and boosting annual delivery capacity toward 18,000 homes. The company established a long-term joint venture with Homes England in 2025 to accelerate large-scale residential sites, secured a £50 million grant from Homes England in September 2025 for affordable housing schemes with allocations advancing for 2025 delivery, and restructured operations in January 2025 from six to three divisions following southern region cost overruns that prompted three profit warnings in late 2024. In July 2025, Vistry participated in a £100 million industry commitment to affordable housing alongside commitments to curb information sharing, resolving a Competition and Markets Authority probe; it reaffirmed full-year FY25 profit growth expectations in November 2025 amid strengthening partner demand, reduced land bank management and forward sales covering 88% of FY25 completions.
