Business
Almarai Company (2280.SR), founded in 1977 and headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, operates as the world's largest vertically integrated dairy company and the Middle East and North Africa's leading food and beverage manufacturer and distributor. The company produces and distributes a comprehensive range of products across dairy, juice, bakery, poultry, and other categories; these include fresh dairy such as milk and laban, long-life dairy and foods like UHT milk, yogurt, cheese, and infant formula under brands including Almarai, Nuralac, and Almarai YOGO; juices, nectars, drinks, and children's beverages under Teeba, Beyti, and Almarai brands; bakery items via L’usine, 7DAYS, and Bakemart; poultry products encompassing whole birds, portions, and value-added items under Alyoum; as well as dates, seafood, and emerging bottled water brands Ival and Oska. Almarai serves over 42 million consumers through more than 220,000 points of sale in seven countries, primarily across the GCC, Egypt, and Jordan, with market leadership in key dairy, juice, bakery, and poultry segments; it maintains advanced facilities including mega-farms in Al Kharj, processing plants, and logistics networks emphasizing sustainability, quality testing, and innovation. In June 2025, Almarai agreed to acquire Pure Beverages Industry Company for SAR 1.04 billion to expand into Saudi Arabia's bottled water market with premium brands Ival and Oska, financed internally and pending regulatory approvals; earlier in 2025, a planned SAR 263 million acquisition of Hammoudeh Food Industries was cancelled due to unmet conditions; the company continues investments in production capacity, supply chain optimization, and product diversification as outlined in its 2024 annual report.
