- SAL Saudi Logistics Services Co (SAL) provides integrated logistics and supply chain solutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, operating primarily in the Handling and Logistics segments. The company offers cargo ground handling services at major airports including Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Medina; end-to-end logistics encompassing sea, air, and land freight forwarding, customs clearance, inventory management, and warehouse management; fulfillment services through its dedicated Business Unit; and specialized solutions such as project logistics, courier services at domestic airports, and storage in advanced facilities like the SAL Logistics Zone spanning over 1.5 million square meters. SAL serves diverse industries including e-commerce, aviation, exports, and perishable goods shipments, with a global network extending to EMEA, Asia, the United States, South America, and South Africa, supporting over 160 customers and partnering with leading airlines and entities.
Founded in 1945 with operations tracing back over seven decades from Saudia Cargo and formally established as an independent entity in December 2019, SAL is headquartered in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at Zahran Building on Prince Sultan Road. The company operates across 18 airports in the Kingdom and maintains strategic logistics infrastructure to align with Saudi Vision 2030, positioning the country as a global logistics hub.
In recent developments, SAL signed a three-year logistics services deal with Flyadeal in November 2025, providing freight forwarding and customs clearance through its Logistics Division; renewed partnerships with Emirates SkyCargo and expanded with FedEx for enhanced ground handling of express shipments; and entered its first international expansion via a strategic alliance with TAM Group for air cargo operations between Saudi Arabia and China. Earlier in 2025, SAL launched a new distribution center in Riyadh, signed investment contracts worth up to SAR 1 billion with Riyadh Airports Company for air cargo facilities at King Khalid International Airport, and agreements with Taibah Airports for Medina facilities, Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu in Jazan, and Elm for digital solutions; it also activated new stations at Yanbu Airport and courier services at Al-Qassim and Al-Madinah Airports. These initiatives, including MoUs with ZATCA, stc Group, and others for operational enhancements and sustainability, alongside a SAR 4 billion investment in the SAL Logistics Zone in North Riyadh with Sela, underscore SAL's focus on infrastructure expansion, digital transformation, and strategic growth.
