Business
Malath Cooperative Insurance Company Malath Cooperative Insurance Company (8020.SR) is a Saudi public joint-stock company that provides general cooperative insurance products and related services to individuals, small and medium enterprises, and corporates in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Incorporated in 2007 and headquartered on Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Road in Riyadh, the company operates primarily through Medical, Motor, Property, Engineering, Marine, and Others segments, offering comprehensive health insurance for corporate and individual customers; third-party and comprehensive motor insurance products; property and engineering insurance; marine cargo and hull coverage; casualty insurance including accident and group life; and other general insurance solutions such as home contents and reinsurance services. It maintains regional administrations and branches across Saudi Arabia, including Jeddah and Dammam, and holds a founding stake in Najm for Insurance Services Company. In August 2025, Malath extended its memorandum of understanding with LIVA Insurance Company until February 2026 to evaluate a potential merger under which LIVA would merge into Malath, following a preliminary non-binding agreement reached in December 2024 to structure the deal; this strategic move aligns with ongoing sector consolidation amid regulatory pressures and market growth driven by Vision 2030.
