Business
Meshek Energy - Renewable Energies Ltd (MSKE.TA) engages in the renewable energy business, operating through three segments: Electricity Generation from Storage and Renewable Energy; Conventional Electricity Generation; and Electricity Distribution and Supply. The Electricity Generation from Storage and Renewable Energy segment initiates, constructs, and operates electricity generation facilities using photovoltaic technology; manufactures and sells electricity through ground-based photovoltaic installations; and produces and sells electricity using rooftop photovoltaic installations and water reservoirs. The Conventional Electricity Generation segment generates electricity through solar and natural gas technologies, including an installed capacity of approximately 912 megawatts at the Tzafir North site. The Electricity Distribution and Supply segment distributes, markets, supplies, and trades electricity. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in the Ga'ash Commercial Area, Tel Aviv, Israel, the company primarily serves the Israeli market with expansion into the United States and focuses on target customers including industrial entities and the national electricity grid. In recent developments, Meshek Energy, through its subsidiary Dalia Power Energies, completed the acquisition of the Eshkol power plant from the Israel Electric Corporation in 2024 following a successful tender win, with official control transferred on June 3, 2024, enhancing its conventional generation capacity to approximately 1,680 megawatts plus potential additional capacity; secured an investment from The Phoenix Insurance and prior funding from Clal Insurance to support the transaction; and raised US$191 million through private placements in 2023.
