Business
T-Mobile US, Inc. (NASDAQ: TMUS) provides wireless communications services, including voice, messaging and data, to postpaid, prepaid, wholesale and other customers throughout the United States. The company offers wireless devices such as handsets, tablets and accessories; financing through equipment installment plans; high-speed fixed wireless home internet utilizing excess capacity on its nationwide 5G network; and advertising solutions. Core consumer brands include T-Mobile flagship postpaid services with plans such as Go5G Plus featuring unlimited talk, text and data, 5G access, scam protection, Netflix and Apple TV+ streaming, and 50GB premium mobile hotspot data; Metro by T-Mobile prepaid plans; Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile prepaid MVNOs with international calling options; and Assurance Wireless subsidized by the federal Lifeline program. Business offerings encompass Advanced Network Solutions like Edge Control for low-latency 5G applications and T-Platform for real-time data and AI operations, alongside tailored wireless plans, IoT connectivity and collaboration tools. T-Mobile operates America's largest 5G network covering over 325 million people with Extended Range low-band, Ultra Capacity mid-band and mmWave spectrum, serving 140 million subscribers as of September 2025. Founded in 1994 as VoiceStream Wireless and majority-owned by Deutsche Telekom AG, the company maintains headquarters in Bellevue, Washington, with key operations in Overland Park, Kansas. In recent developments, T-Mobile closed its $4.4 billion acquisition of UScellular's wireless operations including 4 million customers, retail stores and select spectrum assets in August 2025, enhancing rural coverage and integrating customers onto its network without immediate plan changes. The company completed a joint venture with EQT to acquire fiber provider Lumos in early 2025, investing $950 million for a 50% stake and existing customers to expand broadband reach toward 3.5 million homes passed by 2028. Additional 2025 initiatives include launching Edge Control and T-Platform for enterprise 5G edge computing in October and transforming customer switching via the T-Life app with AI plan matching in November, alongside extended Formula 1 partnerships through 2028.
