Thermwood Corporation (TOOD) manufactures and distributes advanced CNC routers and large-scale additive manufacturing systems for the woodworking, aerospace, plastics, composites, automotive, marine, defense, medical and entertainment industries. The company offers 3-axis and 5-axis high-speed CNC machining centers including the Model 90 and MAX5 series with heavy-duty high-clearance capabilities, SuperControl systems, QCore software, eCabinet Systems for custom cabinet design and management, LSAM printers that combine 3D printing and trimming of thermoplastic composite molds tooling patterns and parts, CAD/CAM software, tooling, components and training services; it markets through a global network of dealers and offices in 11 countries. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Dale Indiana Thermwood targets production environments requiring 24/7 reliability with applications in commercial airliners helicopter blades military aircraft space shuttle components and entertainment sets. Recent developments include executive promotions in May 2025 with Jason Susnjara to president succeeding David Hildenbrand's retirement and Jennifer Watt to executive vice president alongside a Purdue University partnership integrating predictive simulation with LSAM for first-time-right composite production live LSAM demonstrations at JEC World 2025 printing RTM molds with SABIC and Techmer PM materials and unveiling of the MAX5 large-scale CNC for extreme composites machining.
