Business
Proxene Tools Co., Ltd. (6904.TWO) manufactures and sells adjustable wrenches and pliers, with a focus on high-end industrial hand tools for applications in engineering, plumbing, construction, automotive, infrastructure, and aerospace sectors; its product lineup encompasses 19 series including AP, BV, CH, CP, DH, FH, FP, GP, HP, LA, LS, MY, RA, RP, RW, SI, SP, TI, and TP adjustable wrenches, alongside specific pliers that comply with international standards such as DIN, ISO, ANSI, ASME, JIS, and BSI. The company exports its products to major markets including the United States, Europe, Japan, Russia, and Canada, positioning it as one of the top three global makers of premium adjustable wrenches. Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Taichung, Taiwan, Proxene Tools operates primarily from Taiwan with international export operations and holds certifications including ISO 9001 since 2004, alongside design awards such as iF Design Award, red dot Design Award, G-Mark, and Taiwan Excellence. In March 2025, FuSheng Precision Co., Ltd. (6670.TW) announces a strategic alliance by acquiring a 51% stake in Proxene Tools through a tender offer at NTD 157 per share, totaling approximately NTD 1.48 billion for 9.435 million shares from March 12 to March 31, 2025, establishing Proxene as a subsidiary to leverage FuSheng's metal forming expertise, global production facilities in Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, and the US, and resources for automation, offshore expansion, and further hand tool partnerships amid industry challenges from Chinese competition and rising costs. This transaction builds on Proxene's 2024 revenue of NTD 890 million and profitable ODM model serving prominent international brands, enhancing synergies in high-end tool production. The alliance supports Proxene's ongoing R&D innovation, evidenced by hundreds of international patents and leadership in advanced adjustable wrench designs.
