Business
Taranis Resources Inc. is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of precious-metal, base-metal and critical-mineral properties, principally the Thor Project and the broader historic Silver Cup Mining District in southeastern British Columbia, Canada. The Company’s principal activities comprise geological mapping and prospecting; geochemical sampling and assaying; airborne and ground geophysical surveys, including electromagnetic programs; mineral-resource modeling; drilling-target generation and diamond drilling; mineral-tenure acquisition and consolidation; permitting and environmental assessment activities; and evaluation of historic mine workings and prospective mineral occurrences. Its exploration portfolio targets epithermal and intrusive-related mineralization containing zinc, copper, lead, silver and gold, together with potential by-product critical minerals including indium and antimony. The Thor Project encompasses the established Thor epithermal deposit as well as surrounding prospects, historic mines and exploration targets within the Silver Cup Mining District. Taranis markets its exploration efforts toward the identification and delineation of economically viable polymetallic and critical-mineral resources rather than operating a producing mine. Taranis Resources was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Estes Park, Colorado, United States, while its principal mineral assets and field operations are located in British Columbia, Canada. The Company’s common shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol TRO and on the OTCQB market under the symbol TNREF. Its strategy centers on expanding and reassessing the Thor mineral-resource area through district-scale exploration, with particular emphasis on identifying additional mineralized zones surrounding the known deposit and evaluating the potential critical-mineral contribution of its polymetallic mineralization. Recent developments include the January 2025 acquisition of a 100% interest in a 1,634-hectare property adjoining Thor; the receipt of an exploration permit in June 2025 and commencement of drilling targeting an intrusive system beneath and around the Thor deposit in July 2025; and the identification of new epithermal mineralization approximately 1.4 kilometers southeast of the Thor deposit in October 2025. In 2026, Taranis expanded its Silver Cup Mining District land position to more than 6,000 hectares, identified the Borr Zone using electromagnetic data, acquired additional mineral tenures, and advanced a district-scale exploration strategy encompassing four high-priority targets and approximately 30 prospects and historic mines across its expanded property position. The Company also closed a private placement in March 2026, adjusted its exploration program in response to political and regulatory conditions in British Columbia, and continued work to re-examine Thor’s mineral-resource potential and test for additional critical-mineral elements.
