- NewOrigin Gold Corp. (TROIF) is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition, staking and exploration of early-stage precious and base metal properties in prospective mining camps within the Canadian Shield. The company holds interests in several key projects, including the Sky Lake Gold Project in the Pickle Lake Gold Camp of northwestern Ontario covering 9,100 hectares over a 27-kilometre strike length with a historical NI 43-101 non-compliant gold resource open at depth and along strike; the North Abitibi Gold Project in Quebec along the prolific Casa Berardi Deformation Zone; and the South Abitibi Project featuring polymetallic Ni-Cu potential with year-round road access and geophysical anomalies over a 2-kilometre trend; targeting gold, nickel, copper and associated base metals through geophysical surveys, drilling and resource delineation. Founded in 1989 and formerly known as Tri Origin Exploration Ltd., NewOrigin Gold is headquartered at 110 Yonge Street, Suite 1601 in Toronto, Ontario, with operations spanning Ontario and Quebec provinces. In November 2024, Harfang Exploration Inc. completed the acquisition of all issued and outstanding common shares of NewOrigin pursuant to a court-approved plan of arrangement, making NewOrigin a wholly-owned subsidiary of Harfang and integrating its projects including Sky Lake, North Abitibi and South Abitibi into Harfang's portfolio for enhanced exploration along 25 kilometres of gold-bearing deformation in the Casa Berardi trend and expanded Ontario exposure; prior to the transaction, NewOrigin closed a CDN$250,000 convertible debenture financing with Harfang in August 2024, conducted airborne VTEM geophysical surveys at Sky Lake in July-September 2024 identifying new EM targets, and converted a Vista Gold Corp. back-in option to an NSR royalty at North Abitibi in May 2024.
