- Tsodilo Resources Limited is a Canada-based mineral exploration and development company focused on the acquisition, exploration and advancement of diamond, iron ore, critical-mineral and rare-earth-element properties in the Republic of Botswana. The Company’s principal activities comprise the evaluation and development of magnetite iron ore resources at the Xaudum Iron Formation (XIF) project in Botswana’s North-West District; exploration for rare earth elements, base metals, precious metals and platinum-group metals at the wholly owned Gcwihaba Metals project area; and diamond exploration through the BK16 kimberlite project in the Orapa Kimberlite Field. Its core prospective products include high-grade magnetite concentrate and pellet-feed material for steelmaking; potential pig iron and direct-reduced-iron feedstock derived from Xaudum magnetite; rare earth elements and other critical minerals; base and precious metals; platinum-group metals; and diamonds. The Xaudum project’s Block 1 contains a CIM-compliant inferred mineral resource of 441 million tonnes grading 29.4% iron and is the Company’s principal iron ore development asset; metallurgical work indicates potential for a premium magnetite product containing more than 67% iron. Tsodilo conducts its Botswana operations principally through wholly owned subsidiaries Gcwihaba Resources (Pty) Limited, which holds five metal prospecting licences in the North-West District, and Bosoto (Pty) Limited, which holds the BK16 diamond property. The Company manages exploration activities directly and targets future customers in the global steel, industrial-minerals, critical-minerals, technology-materials and diamond sectors. Incorporated in 1995 under the laws of Yukon, Canada, Tsodilo was formerly known as Trans Hex International Ltd. and adopted its current name in April 2002; it is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Recent developments include verification in January 2026 of significant critical-mineral and rare-earth-element mineralization at the C26 and C27 skarn targets within the wholly owned Gcwihaba Metals project; a strategic collaboration with Battelle Memorial Institute announced in March 2026 to apply artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics to critical-mineral and rare-earth exploration in Botswana; and a collaborative research initiative with the University of Cape Town’s Department of Geological Sciences announced in May 2026 to support that exploration program. The Company also continued its research collaboration with the Botswana International University of Science and Technology on metallurgical testing and preliminary economic assessment work for the Xaudum project, including potential production of pig iron, pellets and direct-reduced-iron products. In 2026, Tsodilo completed non-brokered private placements totaling approximately C$1.64 million, including C$742,095 in February and C$900,000 in March, to fund advancement of its critical-minerals, rare-earth and Xaudum iron projects and provide working capital; it also announced a transition to semi-annual financial reporting in June 2026.
