Business
Sansei Technologies, Inc. is a Japanese engineering and manufacturing firm dedicated to the planning, development, fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of a diverse range of specialized equipment worldwide. The company is prominently known for its amusement ride portfolio, which encompasses family-friendly attractions, elaborate dark rides, high-speed jet and mini-roller coasters, traditional carousel designs, and thrilling flume and rafting experiences. Beyond entertainment, Sansei Technologies also designs and produces sophisticated stage machinery, including dynamic floor systems such as elevating stage traps, sliding platforms, rotating stages, and inclined surfaces. Its offerings extend to comprehensive rigging solutions for lifting and lowering scenery, lighting, audio equipment, projection screens, stage draperies, and acoustic elements, along with advanced control systems. These theatrical solutions cater to various venues, from compact auditoriums and adaptable performance spaces to large event halls, sports arenas, and broadcast studios. The company further delivers elevating mechanisms, including passenger and freight elevators, alongside other custom-engineered machinery. Complementing its manufacturing capabilities, Sansei Technologies provides property management services, actively operates and manages leisure facilities, and offers rental services for electrical and mechanical apparatus for television productions, concerts, live stages, and special events. Originally established in 1951 as Sansei Yusoki Co., Ltd., the enterprise initially focused on elevators and amusement attractions, expanding into stage equipment the following year. The company rebranded to Sansei Technologies, Inc. in January 2014. Over the years, it has significantly expanded its global reach through strategic acquisitions, including U.S.-based S&S Worldwide in 2012, Dutch roller coaster manufacturer Vekoma Rides in 2018, and Canadian theme park planner FORREC in 2023, solidifying its position as a leading provider of integrated entertainment and mobility solutions. Sansei Technologies, Inc. is headquartered in Osaka, Japan.
